Supporting the preservation of Elizabeth Street Garden and representing Council Member Christopher Marte in an amicus brief submitted in support of the community.

Organizing with home attendant workers to stop the abusive practice of 24 hour work days.

Organizing Gateway Tenants against outrageous rent increases in a previously fully affordable residential complex.

Fighting for 100% Affordable 5WTC with a preference for 9/11 survivors and first responders and their children, so those who sacrificed so much can live in the neighborhood they helped rebuild.

Testified at Community Board 2 and City Hall on behalf of neighbors against the SOHO/NOHO and Chinatown rezoning that will destroy a historic neighborhood and displace community members.

Led the charge to change undemocratic party rules that allowed political bosses to select Democratic nominees in special elections.

Protested the proposed Chinatown mega-jail and was arrested with other community members, affectionately referred to as the "Chinatown Ten".
